I have a 2014 Macbook Pro (Retina, 13-inch) with macOS Mojave Version 10.14.6. I usually backup my Time Machine disk through a backup drive connected through USB cable to my router. I set everything up about 2 months ago, and everything has been going well, until today. I tried to run my new HDXT Pro monitor from the right side USB ports on my new MacBook Pro 16 inch – the monitor would not turn on. However, it works fine if it is plugged into the left side ports. This monitor requires mixing of two data streams – so there may be additional right left differences in the ports. Question: Q: Using time machine on MacBook Pro I just bought a MacBook Pro and am not able to use time machine. The AppleCare wireless expert mentioned that I am not able use time machine because I am not hooked up to a hard drive.

Two USB-C Ports on a MacBook Air is Absolutely Ridiculous Apple puts four USB-C Ports on a MacBook Pro to make us believe that it’s a “pro” machine. The trouble is, we all do the same things with ports on a MacBook Air which only has two ports.
